Tucker Construction GroupĀ has officially commenced construction on a landmark 800-megawatt solar parkĀ in the Indian state of Rajasthan, marking a major milestone in the company’s growing clean energy portfolio and long-term partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Government of India.

Strategically located across 2,100 acres in the Barmer district, the solar park is part of India’s National Solar MissionĀ and the Smart Energy Infrastructure ProgramĀ under the country’s broader Smart Cities initiative. Once operational, the project will generate enough power to serve over 1.2 million households annually, while reducing carbon emissions by more than 1.5 million metric tons per year.

ā€œThis project represents our commitment to driving sustainable infrastructure on a global scale,ā€Ā said Alex Raymond, Vice President, Energy Projects – Tucker Construction Group. ā€œWe are proud to contribute to India’s renewable energy roadmap and to collaborate with local agencies and international technology partners to bring this vision to life.ā€

The project will incorporate:

  • High-efficiency photovoltaic modules

  • Smart energy storage systems

  • Real-time performance analytics and monitoring

  • Waterless cleaning and dust mitigation technologies

Construction is scheduled to be completed by Q4 2026, with over 4,000 local jobsĀ created during the project lifecycle, including roles in construction, electrical installation, operations, and maintenance.

This marks Tucker’s third renewable energy project in India, following the successful delivery of solar and hybrid wind farms in Tamil Nadu and Gujarat. Globally, Tucker’s energy division is currently executing solar, wind, and hydro projectsĀ across 8 countries.

Stay tuned as we continue to deliver clean, resilient infrastructure across borders.
